Happy New Year!

2015 New Year

I wish you all a happy New Year! 2014 was certainly a memorable year filled with milestones including the release of my book Powered by Hope, the launch of my charitable foundation Powered by Hope, travels to new cities including Tokyo, completing all six world marathon majors and reaching five years post cancer diagnosis.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey, and I look forward to celebrating what 2015 will bring!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Day

I wish you and your families a Merry Christmas! I hope your day is filled with joy, laughter and memories made with your loved ones. Today my family and I will be celebrating together by opening our gifts first thing in the morning and having breakfast. The day will include delicious food, lots of laughs and time together.

Merry Christmas and I wish you all the very best during this special time of year!

12 Days of Christmas: Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is always a magical time, there’s the anticipation leading into Christmas morning and is when many of us begin to celebrate with our family and friends. Our Christmas Eve tradition includes going to church and quality time with my family.

12 Days of Christmas: Silent Night

Silent Night Quote

One of the classic Christmas carols is “Silent Night.” Sometimes we need a moment to quiet our thoughts, and find our inner voice. I often take time to do this while running or biking, and really value that time to myself. If you can, have a “silent night” and reconnect with yourself.

12 Days of Christmas: Love

Joy Love Christmas

I wanted to do a special post about my friends and family and use this moment to thank them for their support. They mean the world to me, and I truly am so grateful for their love, generous spirit and time. This year has been a big year for me, filled with many milestones, including the publishing of my book, Powered by Hope. Once again, my troops rallied and have been at many events, shared the book with others, and so much more.

Join me in taking a moment to tell those you care about how much they mean to you this Christmas. Get in the habit of this gratitude and carry it through the new year!
